[ What the fuck is he- She's about ready to attempt to throw him down onto the ground until she realizes exactly what he's doing. He's getting a hug in, but she's trying to shove him the hell away two seconds into it. ]

[She's a few hundred pounds of complex machinery and electronics hoisted up in the air in the middle of the mall, and Caboose has the dumb side of his dumb helmet mashed against her chestplate like he didn't just receive a promise of pain from the angel of death herself.

Nope, if anything, he squeezes tighter. She's made of sterner stuff than the Churches, and MUCH sterner stuff than squishy li'l Wash. She's getting a full force Caboose hug, even if that means he's gonna eat his faceplate for it.]

[ This is the opposite of putting her down. He's lucky she can't feel in the traditional sense or parts of her body would be going goddamn numb at the amount of pressure she's registering from this 'hug' of his.

His words would be so much sweeter if he wasn't trying to do this in a public place. As it stands, her first instinct is to knee him as hard as she can in the groin. That will make him drop her, right? ]

[ And now he's muttering about a cone. Whatever bullshit Wash has put them through has really messed the kid up. She takes a step away and as soon as his hand is coming for her, she sidesteps it. ]

[Caboose sticks out his hand with his pinky before jerking back, looking very wary.] Ummm can I touch you without getting hurt this time?

[ There's a sigh and she holds out her pinky as a peace offering. ] Yes, because I'm telling you it's okay. Just don't do it without asking first, got it?

[ENTHUSIASTIC PINKY SWEAR] You got it Tex! [And he'll scramble to pick up his shit and trot after her excitedly, chattering on whether or not she's listening, because that's how they do things and it's been way, way too long since they've done them.]

[ What has she signed herself up for. He won't get much of a response, she's gotten well-versed at tuning people out thanks to Church's constant bitching, but he gets nods or some single word response every so often to at least pretend she's paying attention to his every word.

It's going to be a long day, but she wouldn't have it any other way. ]
