You want the whiskey too? Consider it another souvenir. And I need you to get up if you want the tarp along.

[ She nudges her helmet off the edge and into the sand with her foot. She stares at him expectantly as she reaches for the corners of the tarp. ]

[ Miles brightens instantly. ]

Yes, if you'll part with it. And if we have enough room.

[ He also obligingly gets up off the tarp. ]

Only if you text me after a few drinks. [ Because she has a feeling drunk texts from him would be gold. Now that he's moved, she starts sliding whatever's left of the food out of the way so she can fold the tarp into some semblance of order. ]

We can make room.

[ He helps gather things too - eyes the blintzes, decides to at least pack them ultra carefully back into the basket that had held the food and see if he can't get them back unsquished. Everything else he leaves for the birds.

He has a brief, wild moment of temptation to grab onto everything he can and see if he can get them to shrink down along with him. Alas, he'd miss out on seeing the motorcycle ride that way, and he'd much rather have that than a tiny sandwich plate. Abandoning it all to the seagulls it is. ]

[ She's about to gather everything up when she remembers she's forgetting one important part. With a smirk, she picks up her helmet and slides it onto his head.

She teases, ] Don't want you breaking anything.

[ Tarp under one arm and the bottles of alcohol in her other, she heads to her motorcycle to pack what she can in her saddlebags. ]

[ Too big, but he'll manage. She can just about hear his grin underneath it. ]

Alas, we're protecting the wrong part of my body in that case. I'm too hard-headed.

[ Miles, meanwhile, goes to inspect the motorcycle. Not so different from a lightflyer, he supposes. ]

[ It's a good look for him even if it doesn't fit. Her gaze lingers on him a moment before she slides onto the seat. ]

It'll have to do, I didn't bring the suit. Think you can hold on tight enough?

As long as you don't mind me clinging a little.

Rather that than you slipping off.

[ She glances back at him and motions for him to slide on with her. She has other reasons for wanting him that close while driving. For one, she'll be able to feel his every move as they twist and turn through the streets and the other...

Well, she can't say she minded how close they were earlier. ]

Practical, ah. A woman after my own heart.

[ Both are good. Both are very good. Miles is already excited about the prospect of riding this thing, especially with Tex. The grin in his voice just intensifies. ]

How fast can you go on this thing?

Faster than I'm supposed to.

[ A fact she's more than happy to demonstrate. They've got quite the ride ahead of them if she needs to get him to the housing De Chima. She's not shy about skirting around the traffic laws, particularly on the more empty streets where it's safer to accelerate beyond the speed limit. ]

[ Yes. Miles sits up a bit through the ride, actively leaning into turns and obviously enjoying himself. Maybe he can find a way to incorporate this into his next date. Something fast - something crazy - ]

[ When stopped at lights, she occasionally lets one of her hands drift to rest over his, only to quickly move it back before the light turns green again. It's going to be a long trip, but there's something incredibly freeing about feeling the wind in her hair as she speeds off down the road.

Thankfully she knows right where he lives. It's a trip she makes a few times a week due to him and Gregor's training schedule. She pulls up slowly to his assigned housing and waits to let him get off first. ]

[ Gosh. It's a good thing he has this helmet, because he's flushing a bit whenever she does that. Closeness and excitement, what else can he want? When he hops down at the end, he's thoroughly exhilarated, a bit breathless from the ride. He takes off the helmet in one smooth motion and looks up at her. ]

Memorable as always.

[ It's a bit of a lean with the height difference, but she goes in for a parting peck on the lips and as she pulls back, she takes her helmet with her. ] Don't forget your things or your promises.

[ Gosh. He follows her a moment after, on his tiptoes, then subsides. Breathless most certainly applies here. ]

Neither. Thank you - for the wonderful evening.

[ He goes to get his stuff out of her saddlebags. ]

I could say the same to you.

[ It's good to know she has that effect on someone. Someone that doesn't have them programmed into them, anyway. And someone who doesn't give a shit about her being an AI or her mercenary work. Hell, he even went above and beyond on a first date. All she was expecting was a trip out to a local restaurant.

He's made an impression on her to say the least. She slides her helmet on and watches him unload. She only speaks when he finishes. ] Keep in touch.

[ Absolutely an effect, complete and honest; Miles doesn't fake anything of the sort. His awe and happiness is genuine, as is the pang at seeing her go.

He taps two fingers to his forehead in a modified salute and takes a step back towards the door. ]
